Who we are…

Our coalition is focused on empowering parents to find the best education options for their children. We want Iowa lawmakers to focus on increasing school choice options for students and parents by giving them the tools they need.

We believe the best tool in this effort is an Education Savings Account (ESA) program. Under this system, every Iowa student would have an opportunity to be placed in the school that best meets their needs and maximizes their potential. With an ESA, the taxpayer dollars in education would begin to follow the student and we would empower families to make the best choice. After all, isn’t that where these decisions should be made?

Meet our coalition!

Americans for Prosperity exists to recruit, educate, and mobilize citizens in support of the policies and goals of a free society at the local, state, and federal level, helping every American live their dream – especially the least fortunate. AFP has more than 2.8 million activists across the nation, a local infrastructure that includes 35 state chapters, and has received financial support from more than 100,000 Americans in all 50 states.

Iowa Alliance for Choice in Education (Iowa ACE) is the voice for school choice in the state of Iowa. We are a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to expanding school choice options in Iowa. Our mission is to promote the expansion of school choice for the benefit of Iowa’s children, so that all children and parents in Iowa can access and afford their school of choice.

The Iowa Catholic Conference is the official public policy voice of the bishops of Iowa. At the state legislature we advocate for policies that respect the life and dignity of the human person, and apply the principles of Catholic social teaching to critical issues of the day. We encourage Catholics to inform their conscience and participate in the political process.

Iowa Association of Christian Schools (IACS) is the public policy voice of Iowa’s Protestant, Christ-centered schools.  IACS represents Christian schools in public policy both by tracking legislation/public policy to provide information to member schools, as well as advocating on behalf of our member schools at the Iowa Legislature.  IACS also educates Iowans on the benefits of school choice programs and Christ-centered education, building a culture of excellence in education and school choice in Iowa.
